Education and Experience

Jacklyn Klimczak, a teaching artist from the Chicago area, is a versatile musician and performer with a rich educational background. She holds a Dual Degree Masters in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy from New York University and a Bachelors of Music in Vocal Performance from Illinois Wesleyan University. Splitting her time between Chicago and New York City, she maintains a private voice, piano, and acting studio. As a cross-over specialist, Jacklyn’s performance experience spans opera, musical theatre, pop, choir, and folk. She is committed to guiding her singers in achieving a harmonious blend of artistry, technical prowess, and vocal health across all genres.

Voice and Piano Teacher

Jacklyn has served as an adjunct professor at New York University instructing private voice lessons. Her training has been greatly influenced by acclaimed American Soprano, Harolyn Blackwell. She has performed at such venues as Carnegie Hall, Radio City, and in the longest running off-broadway production during the pandemic with Bated Breathe Theatre Company. Her resume includes performances such as Mrs. Halloran/Pasha in “A Catered Affair” at NYU Steinhardt, working with John Bucchino and Harvey Fierstein, being a featured soloist with the Illinois Symphony Orchestra, and starring in Side by Side by Sondheim, a regionally recognized production with FourStarArts in Chicago. Other performance highlights include, Susanna, Le Nozze di Figaro, Cinderella, Into the Woods, Blanche de la Force, Dialogue of the Carmelites and Amy Company.
